The Gangsters

The limo was cruising slowly.  Danny Digrazia, seated next to the chauffeur, carried in his hands a violin case with his precious “instrument.”  In the back seat, Roberto Galatte caressed, with his black gloves, another case with contents equally as precious.  To his left, the commendatore Don Ovidio Falco held on his lap a leather brief case full of cash to pay for the delivery.

In the car, no one spoke, the atmosphere was heavy.  A black cat crossed their path, there was an ill feeling that floated in the air.  It was surely a false impression, absurd.  It should be a day without problems, an easy day…it was Saint Valentine’s Day.
